The Ministry of Minority Affairs, the central government, will provide a MOMA Scholarship 2018 for minority students such as Sikhs, parishioners, Christians and Buddhists. This scholarship is of three types: first is the post-registration scholarship, the pre-enrollment scholarship and the cum merit scholarship program. Under this program, the government provides financial assistance to candidates from sections of poor and weak minorities who do not have enough money for their higher education. Students facing this problem can benefit from the MOMA 2018 Scholarship by submitting their application form before the last date.

For Moma Scholarship Pre Matric

ObjectiveAim of this scheme is to encourage parents from minority communities to send their school going children to school, lighten their financial burden on school education and sustain their efforts to support their children to complete school education.
Eligibility Conditions

Fellowship will be awarded to the students who have secured maximum 50% marks in the previous final examination.

Annual income of their parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs. 1 lakh.

DurationFellowship will be provided for the entire course and maintenance allowance will be given for 10 months only in an academic year.

For Moma Scholarship Post Matric:

ObjectiveIt is offered to students deserving of economically weaker groups in the minority community to provide them with better opportunities for higher education, increase their success rates in higher education and improve their employability.
Eligibility Conditions

·         Maximum 50% marks in the previous final examination and

·         Annual income of their parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs. 1 lakh.

DurationMaintenance allowance will be given for a period not exceeding 10 months only in an academic year.

Features of the Scholarships:

  • Under this Scholarship Scheme, About 30% of scholarships is allocated for girl students.
  • Each family, only 2 students can benefit from this award.
  • These scholarships are specifically for States with a high minority population.
  • Students must have at least 50% marks in the previous final exam.
  • No more than 2 children of the same family are entitled to the scholarship.
  • This system is approved by the state government or UT administration.
  • Each year, approximately 20,000 minority communities are rewarded through this scholarship program throughout the country.
